Modern quilts are art compositions with carefully placed pieces and critically maneuvered thread. Look for solid fabrics, high contrast tones, and geometric shapes. Many quilters use negative spaces to accentuate designs. How do you see artistic aesthetics splashed or strategically placed?

Artist statement:
"My favorite things to draw are portraits and the human figure.  I love finding ways to create dynamic poses.  A few of the materials I use are pastel, colored pencil, paint and ink.  The artworks on display are part of my experiment in the "beautiful mess” with clean line work.  I find that my best work comes by working quickly.  My goals as an artist is to grow and try new media while exploring the human figure.  In the future, I would like to work in the comic book industry."
Through June 2, 2019
