It’s that time of year again…
…a time of tradition and celebration and generosity. A time of reflection and remembrance. A time to take stock and plan ahead.
That’s what we’re doing at CCMA. We’ve made some significant changes over the last 18 months – in particular, our exhibition programming. We have been telling the story of the artists and artistic innovations that were given birth in our own Pomona Valley:
William Graber, Outlier Artist of the Pomona Valley
Designing Our Community: HMC Architects in the Pomona Valley
The Hard-Edged Genius of Karl Benjamin
We’ve added ancillary programming – gallery talks, Meet the Artist, hands-on art workshops – and small gallery exhibitions that comment on the artists exhibiting in Main Gallery.
We continued two popular exhibitions for Pomona Valley artists: the Steve Thomas Photography Open and Ontario Arts Expo.
And here’s what we’ve planned for 2026:
Generations of Creativity: The Art of the Svenson Family – John Edward Svenson; David and Kazumi + John and Sharon
Walls that Speak, a history of Chicana/o mural art
Art @ ONT, an aviation-themed exhibition
Will you help us realize our plans and aspirations with a year-end donation to the museum? CCMA is a recognized 503(c) 3 nonprofit organization, so any contribution is fully tax deductible. Donate to support our exhibitions or help us with operating expenses – things like staff salaries, utilities, insurance, telephone and internet, technology costs – or costs to conserve and protect the museum’s art collection – or Van Go, our fundraising drive to raise the $7,000 it cost to repair vandalism to the van we use for Art @ ONT monthly installations.
CCMA Turns 85 In 2026
CCMA was founded in April 1941 by Ontario residents and art collectors Francis and Helen Line. Since 1941, we’ve been relying on donations from members, visitors, community members, sponsors and other donors to operate the museum. We believe that our art programs provide inspiration, beauty and connections to the past (CCMA’s art collection); to the present (our current art exhibitions); and the future (providing a venue for emerging artists and art movements).
Help us to continue creating an understanding of the value art brings to everyday life by providing a year-end, 100% tax deductible gift now.
The Chaffey Community Museum of Art is the place to learn and connect to art and artists of the Pomona Valley since 1941.
As a private, nonprofit organization, we rely on donations from our members, visitors and community members to operate the museum. Art provides inspiration, beauty and connections to the past (CCMA’s art collection) , present (current art exhibitions) and future (emerging artists and art movements).
