Matter and Expression – Tierra del Sol Artists

Matter and Expression features current work by artists from Tierra del Sol’s Upland Art Studios. The various subjects depicted include the surrounding world, characters and heroes from popular culture, landscapes, cityscapes, portraits, self-portraits, animals both real and fantastic, and abstractions, all transformed by the imaginations of the individual artists. These artworks reveal the playfulness, reverence, experimentation, confidence, care, and curiosity with which the artists have approached their subjects. The eclectic selection of artworks offers viewers insight into what is important and meaningful in the hearts and minds of a diverse group of distinctive, devoted, and creative members of the community.
