A group of painters, meeting in Pomona, held their first exhibition in the Pomona City Library in 1948. This enthusiastic art club became the POMONA VALLEY ART ASSOCIATION in 1952.  It has had many homes over the years with our current home, Gallery SOHO, located in the heart of The Claremont Village. PVAA is a volunteer-supported, non-profit organization dedicated to the stimulation of creative interest, education and the enjoyment of art in all its various forms.  It has continued to serve the community, increasing the understanding of and appreciation for while promoting and supporting many fine artists and artisans. We are proud that we are continuing our mission of “Bringing Art to Life” in the Pomona Valley and beyond.

Our annual Open Juried Show showcases the best of our working artists members in a wide range of original artworks from many mediums.  We are honored to have our 42nd Open Juried Show at the Chaffey Community Museum of Art this year.
