My father had a great sense of humor. My mother was a great artist. I got a little bit of that DNA from both of them. For decades, I have undergone a transformation in my appreciation of art. I’ve learned a lot about painting by copying the works of my favorite artists. The humor just gradually showed up. As when I did a self-portrait in a Vermeer painting. The works in this exhibit contain many things: humor, irony, fantasy, mystery and anachronism. They all have the elements to build a story by anyone with an imagination.
