We are delighted to present a collection of early watercolor paintings, an oil painting and serigraphs by Phil Dike, known to many in the Pomona Valley art community as one of the main innovators of the California Style watercolor painting movement prevalent in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.

Phil Dike grew up in Redlands and gained prominence as a watercolorist and teacher at Chouinard School of Art, Scripps College and the Claremont Graduate School.

All the artworks on display represent works done during this mid-century period, and all were personally donated by Mr. Dike to San Antonio Community Hospital where he served as an art coordinator and consultant.
